v2022.6.23
- Known Bugs
- High-chair compatibility: due to an upstream dependency issue this behavior is broken with Stokke high-chairs with no timeline for being addressed. Other high-chairs may work for a limited amount of time, but we don't recommend deploying such arrangements to production.
- Face smacking: Baby may now occasionally absolutely mess up your face for no reason other than prolonged eye-contact.
- Baby will attempt to recite the alphabet but get stuck on the letter C, often preferring to repeat C until G, then T U V. All letters will be identified as "letters" or just "C."
- Baby will make requests for changes in elevation using the command "up, down." Baby does not distinguish which direction it wants to go (up or down), instead using the command as a toggle.
- Fixed Bugs
- Temperature was being registered as a magnitude (often just "cold"). Has been corrected to indicate both hot and cold. Finer degrees of registration, ie. warm, cool are being developed.
- Tooth-brushing: Previously any attempts at cleaning teeth resulted in a full system deadlock. We are pleased to announce through the dedication of the primary development and QA teams we have managed to compile a marginally working tooth-brushing routine. Full tooth-brushing automation is still being developed, however the tooth-brushing activity no longer results in a full system deadlock.
- New Features
- Eating with utensils
- Baby now has the ability to utilize a fork to eat small pieces of food. Spoon utilization is still under development as it requires maintaining a level handle.
- Counting
- Baby will count up to 4 (or 5?), with clearly distinguishable words using fingers or other nearby objects.
- Rudimentary sentences
- Baby will often construction 2-3 word sentences for requests or to indicate something. Language development
- Duck-face
- We're not sure where this came from... Baby now makes a duck-face in the mirror and laughs, unprompted.
- Hi-bye
- Baby will say hi to everyone and everything if energy levels are >80%. This routine will take slightly longer to trigger at lower energy levels.
- Baby will often say goodbye to everyone and everything if baby senses an exit being made. Inanimate objects include toys, books, rocking llamas, and entire domiciles.
- Catching and throwing
- Baby will hold arms out in front while waiting for small objects to be tossed in its general direction. Baby has a 60% rate of success at completing a catch. Baby has a throw range of 1m for objects at 0.1kg.
- General expressions of emotion
- Implementation of the emotion subroutines has been progressing with the rollout of a new expression of frustration in the form of a switch to stern silence, glare, followed by silent treatment.
- Some singing
- Baby will sing 1-2 words along with favorite tracks. We find this feature adorable and look forward to releasing the final version complete with entire song singalongs.
- Requests engagement for playtime
- Baby will seek your company, often insisting that you join for playtime. A spot to sit will be indicated by a firm pat-pat action next to where baby will sit or is sitting.
